10. There are 58 Palestinian refugee camps, eight of which are in Gaza, and in total about a quarter of the Palestinian refugees live in these camps, often in difficult social and economic conditions.

9. Today, UNRWA is responsible for approximately 6 million Palestinian refugees, of whom a quarter, 1.5 million, are in Gaza. The rest are in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. And it is only Palestinians living in these areas who are covered by UNRWA's assistance.

8. After the Six-Day War in 1967, the mandate was expanded to also include Palestinians who were forced to flee during these conflicts, and agreements were signed with the State of Israel on access to the refugee camps that were now under military occupation in Gaza and the West Bank.

I somras slog ICJ fast att ockupationen av palestinska territoriet är olaglig och måste upphöra. Idag röstade FNs generalförsamling för en resolution som uppmanar Israel att upphöra med ockupationen inom ett år. Sverige avstod, Norge röstade för. Jag skäms över våra fega regering

@KattisTolgfors Varför inte jämföra helår och hela Sverige. Då kan man exvis jämföra 2020 (S-MP-regering) med ett snittpris på 19,78 öre för helåret för hela landet. Och första helåret med M-KD-L-regeringen, dvs 2023, låg snittet på 56,07 öre. Trevlig helg!

ICJ är alltså FN:s högsta domstol som samtliga FN:s medlemsstater är skyldig att följa. Principen R2P handlar om skyldigheten att skydda civila när krigsbrott begås. När ICJ säger att Israel inte gjort tillräckligt för att skydda civila åligger det omvärlden att agera.

Efterlängtat beslut från Internationella domstolen! Om Israel inte omedelbart lever upp till beslutet krävs åtgärder från regeringen och EU. Bla ett omedelbart stopp på all handel med Israel.
