I have received alarming news that a prominent Swedish-Iranian journalist, under the protection of the Swedish Security Service (Säpo), is now at a secret location due to assassination plans ordered by the Islamist regime in Iran. These plans were to be carried out by criminal gangs in Sweden, which were identified a few weeks ago by the government and security police as being in collusion with the Islamic Republic. Freedom of expression and a free press are the cornerstones of our liberal democracy. The Swedish government must unequivocally signal to the rogue state that we will not tolerate these kinds of attacks on our open society. I expect Tobias Billström to summon the Iranian diplomat to the embassy and convey a strong message. We should not take these reports lightly; just a month ago, a colleague of Mehran was attacked with a knife by several mercenaries ordered by the Islamic Republic outside his home in London. I Frankrike skräder inte borgerliga högerledamöter med orden när ledaren för deras parti, Ciotti, vill sluta Tidöavtal med Le Pen. Partiets viceordförande skriver ”Nu vet vi att i juni 1940 hade inte Ciotti åkt (med de Gaulle) över engelska kanalen”. Lite mer sånt i Sverige.

Politics has many dimensions, and it's never black or white. There is a great need for deeper analysis and knowledge, especially considering that powerful interests are trying to control the narrative. This is essential if we aim to achieve our lofty goals of a free, secular, and democratic Iran.

قابل توجه کسانی که برای چارلی ویمرز تبلیغات انتخاباتی کردند: داوید لانگ، عضو حزب دموکرات‌های سوئد (SD)، هم حزب چارلی ویمرز که مورد تأیید و تبلیغ گسترده بخشی از ایرانیان بود، پس از آنکه در جشن انتخاباتی حزب، ترانه‌ی "Ausländer raus" با الفاظ فاشیستی را خواند، مجبور شد از پارلمان کناره‌گیری کند. این ترانه به معنی "خارجی‌ها بیرون" است و در میان محافل راست‌افراطی محبوبیت دارد. خطاب به آنهایی که تحت تأثیر تبلیغات قرار گرفتند: افکار کثیف همیشه خودش را در نهایت نشان می‌دهد. شنیدن بعضی حقایق و پذیرش اشتباه تلخ است ولی لازم و جایز.

A Few Thoughts on Tomorrow’s Election It should come as no surprise which party I’m voting for. The Center Party has been my political home, with one exception in the 1998 election when I voted for the Christian Democrats. Which candidate I choose to support is a personal matter, but I will definitely be casting my vote. This post, however, is about the importance of voting. A democracy is only as strong as the people’s willingness to make their voices heard. Without you, there is no democracy. No matter which party you choose, vote! Select a favorite; they will likely appreciate it. Every candidate has worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks to earn your trust. Choose someone you can hold to higher standards later on. I haven't voted yet; I will do so tomorrow. This is my 11th election campaign. My involvement has varied each time. This time, it has mostly been behind the scenes. In other elections, I have put up posters and handed out flyers. At other times, I’ve focused on debates. As I said, my involvement varies each time. One interesting observation this time is how intertwined the nationalist/fascist movements are. I will elaborate on this at another time. For now, I’ll leave you with this cliffhanger. Where I stand in this battle should become clear to all of you: Freedom, equality, and the ability to realize one’s dreams. These values are and will always be my ideological home and the driving force behind my political engagement.

En sak man känner igen SD på är att de alltid skyller på någon annan. Aldrig tar ansvar för sina göranden. Nu är det mass-sms, sedan trollbudskap fr trollkonton. Deras etik är inte den jag känner fr min barndom, som min pappa polis lärde mig.
